The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

// August 19th, 2009 // Random Movie Musings

I had never seen a trailer for this movie until about two seconds ago, and I think it looks fantastic. As most people know, this is the film Heath Ledger was filming when he died. That’s one reason I want to see it, but truthfully, it just looks fun and ridiculously fascinating. I can’t wait to watch this. This looks like something Tim Burton would have done years ago, before he started making crappy movies. Watch this trailer.

    I watched this the other day because I had heard about it when Heath Ledger died. It sounded intriguing, and the trailer only intrigued me further. I was actually a little disappointed when I saw that Johnny Depp will be in it. I love the guy and his work, but I get the feeling that there is a large group of people who will see anything he’s in and like it regardless of merit, just because he’s in it. Oh well.

    Um, there is a huge group of people that do that. Johnny Depp didn’t even exist until Pirates of the Carribean, and that makes me irate to this day. He was always one of my favorites since ‘Benny and Joon.’ During the mid 90′s he was actually considered box office poison by those in the movie industry. Stupid fake fans. Pirates is some of his weakest work as well. In my absolutely correct opinion.

    I love that you write the way you talk. I can totally hear you saying, “Um,” before making your point here!
