And when I said that it is not a best picture type movie, I meant in the academy's eyes. I would definitely nominate it, I think it was easily one of the best films of the year. And I just don't put stock into ticket sales, because some things are released on more screens because they have more money to do that, which makes ticket sales a little deceptive, Plus, I think the majority of people don't like great films, but rather pointless and stupid action movies. That doesn't apply to Avatar by the way. Like I said before, I think Avatar is definitely a good movie and has the best animation I have ever seen. I think I said something like this before on Nic's blog about record sales and how good an artist or group is, but it has to count for something when a movie breaks the all time record for ticket sales(or gross sales which ever it is that they track). She's reminds me of Audrey Hepburn - always a good thing.
